TPIAL - Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Light
The AN/PEQ-2/2A is the US Army type-classified standard issue near-infrared dual purpose laser aimer illuminator, designed for covert targeting with the use of night vision devices for individual and area weapons.
The AN/PEQ-2/2A offers two independent lasers that operate in six different mode selections for maximum active targeting versatility. Its ambidextrous design allows ease of use under all operating conditions and applications . The lasers have independent ballistic adjusters allowing them to be preset for area and moving fire missions.
The AN/PEQ-2/2A can be mounted to a wide range of military equipment including individual and crew-served weapons, anti-tank weapons, missile launchers and light armored vehicles.
